A pet ball python (Python regius) is an excellent snake for a first snake owner. Ball pythons are not as huge as many other constricting snakes held as pets, growing to a maximum size of 3 to 5 feet, and are relatively docile and easy to handle. When threatened, ball python morphs fold themselves into a tight ball, concealing their heads inside their coils.

For three years, baby ball pythons develop roughly a foot per year. With adequate care, they can survive for a long period (up to roughly 50 years, though 20 to 30 years appears to be more normal). When placing your order, you may request a male or female snake (or any mix thereof), but please keep in mind that we cannot guarantee the sex. However, we can ensure that someone with a lot of reptile experience will try to find the precise snake(s) you’re looking for.
