Most of the time, your musk turtle will be found walking on the bottom of their tank, which is normal for any sort of freshwater musk turtle. The musk turtle is one of our tiniest turtles for sale. People frequently confuse the musk with the common mud turtle.
When ordering our medium and adult sized reptiles, you may request a male or female turtle (or any mix thereof), but please keep in mind that we cannot guarantee the sex. Diet of Musk Turtle For Sale
Always pay special attention to proper feeding. Feeding a for sale musk turtle is comparable to feeding other turtles. The majority of the musk turtle’s diet in the wild consists of amphibians, carrion, mollusks, aquatic worms, marine crustaceans, and aquatic insects. They may also ingest other foods such as nuts, cereals, and even seeds on occasion. Older, larger, or adult musk turtles will eat clams and other mollusks on their own volition. Musk turtles will consume commercially prepared turtle chow, bloodworm cubes, snails, roaches, crickets, mealworms, and even the occasional earthworm.
